Take some of your time to read, and then start putting into action these simples steps below:
STEP 1. Diagnostic
First of all, map out your life. Find what you like and what you do not. Make up a list of things you are happy and
things you are not happy with.
STEP 2. Treatment
Separate the things you are not happy with: people, habits, personal belongings.
a. People: separate them into categories: relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
i. Relatives:
do not try changing them by speaking about their mistakes; instead, you have to
change the way they see you. For this purpose, you have to start showing good
actions and qualities. Remember, they are part of your family, and good or not,
they will follow your steps during your whole life; they will the ones who will
always be by your side, for good or for bad. Therefore, it is better that you
get along well.

Friends:
The same as above. Close friends sometimes are even closer than some relatives
are. Therefore, invest your time and life in good friends; make new ones, but never
put aside good old friends. However, if
your friend just remember you when s/he needs, then s/he is not your friend.
iii.
Acquaintances:
whereas Friends mean quality, acquaintances mean quantity. Nowadays, with the evolution of social
networks, it is quite easy to add thousands of people to you net. Beware, for
you might end spending too much time of your precious life trying to interact with
thousands of acquaintances. If you are
not a pop star, and do not depend on thousands of fans, better to focus on your
daily life and faithful friends. Unless
you have a secretary or someone you hired to administer your thousands of
acquaintances on social networks, be careful.
b. Habits: map out the habits that you
consider harmful in your life (sleeping late every day, drinking, eating junk
food, not tidying up your stuff, talking on people’s back, gossiping, telling
white lies, not exercising your body etc). For each one of them plan a changing
strategy: draw a daily, a weekly and a monthly scheme with schedule for all the
activities you wish to implement in your life. After three months of doing the
right things, being disciplined and resilient, you will have succeed. The successful
hint is not establishing too much challenging goals. If you are too tough on
yourself, chances are you will not succeed. You might want to divide the goals into groups
and implement them in stages.
c. Personal belongings: accumulating
memories is part of our life. But at
times it is necessary to analyse whether or not we are keeping unnecessary things.
Somethings, we must let some old things go to welcome new ones. Moreover, some
of the things might not have a use in our life anymore, but might be useful to
other people. By doing this “letting go”, you will be prepared for new comings.
STEP 3. Establishing goals
Now, establish the major goals you want to achieve. Separate them into
areas: personal, professional, physical, spiritual, social, and financial. For
each goal, set a major temporal delimitation. Then, establish intermediary
objectives and temporal delimitations. The reason is that it is easier to achieve
smaller objectives than a whole goal.
Changing your habits is a good way to help you
achieve your goals in life. Following
these 3 major steps will help you change your life. If you want something
different to happen in your life, you must do something different.
